A MESSAGE FROM TOM BOWLEY
Dear Residents of Tewksbury,
My name is Tom Bowley, and I am writing to formally announce my intent to run for Select Board in the upcoming April 11th election for the Town of Tewksbury. After much contemplation and deliberation, I have decided to step forward and offer my dedication, skills, and love of our community to serve in a greater capacity.
As a 3rd generation resident of Tewksbury, (my son is 4 th generation), I have witnessed the challenges and opportunities that have shaped our community. I believe that my business background and decades of volunteering on numerous committees uniquely positions my experience to contribute meaningfully to the growth and well-being of our Town.
For those I have not had the opportunity to meet yet I currently serve on the Tewksbury Conservation Commission working to protect our wetland resource areas, conservation land and open space in our community.
I also serve on the Tewksbury School Facilities Study Committee which is working on reviewing and evaluating Tewksbury’s long range master plan as it pertains to the needs of the elementary schools’ future needs for the children in our Town.
I am also currently on the Board of Directors for the Wilmington/Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce and the have served as the past President of the Tewksbury Rotary Club. As a small business owner myself in our Town, I believe it is important that we work small businesses trying to promote Economic Development opportunities for local merchants. Local merchants are the heart and soul of our small town and are usually the first to support local fundraising efforts for our sport teams, local nonprofits and other community activities.
For many years I have volunteered my time working on events such as the Memorial Day Parade, 4th of July Celebration, 9/11 Memorial Ceremony, Veterans Day Services, Friends of the Elderly Events and many more. Tewksbury has given much to my family and I believe in giving back to the community that our family has called home for 4 generations.
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a commitment to integrity, collaboration, and effective leadership. I am deeply invested in addressing the concerns and aspirations of our fellow citizens and am enthusiastic about working together to implement positive changes for our Town. I look forward to talking with residents and listening to their ideas as I truly want to be a voice for the people and work with them on how we continue to make Tewksbury a wonderful place to live and raise a family.
Thank you,
Tom Bowley
